On Monday morning, firefighters from Deerfield-Bannockburn were dispatched to 1131 Osterman Avenue after reports of smoke coming from the second floor of a two-story home. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed the presence of smoke and upgraded the call to a working fire. The fire was initially believed to have started on the first floor and was quickly brought under control.
The scene saw a coordinated response with multiple units from several departments, including Deerfield-Bannockburn Engine 20, Squad 19, Truck 20, Battalion 20, 2000, and 2001; Highland Park Battalion 33 and Truck 33; Northbrook Battalion 11, Ambulance 11, and Engine 10; Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Ambulance 52, Engine 52, and 5201; and Lake Forest Truck 421. Firefighters worked swiftly to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of the occupants.
