The "PRE" series planetary roller extruder is designed with a unique configuration where a planetary screw is inter-engaged at the center of a main screw and barrel. These components are shaped like helical gears at a 45° angle. This setup allows the planetary screw to revolve and rotate on its axis, enabling it to process various types of resins efficiently.

The extruder offers multiple applications, making it suitable for sheeting, filming, and high-capacity pelletizing. It can achieve a capacity of up to 2000kg/h, replacing traditional methods such as Banbury mixers or open mill mixers.

 

One of the key advantages of this extruder is its ability to plasticize resin at a low temperature due to the rolling and extrusion action within the inter-engagement space. This ensures minimal degradation of the material properties.

Through the inter-meshing action of the toothed planetary roller system, one single revolution of the main spindle suffices to roll out the plastic melt as many as 1,100 times. This guarantees optimal plastification, homogenization, and dispersion.

 

The "PRE" series is a low-temperature forming extruder that produces materials without any change in their properties. Its low-temperature forming and homogenizing capabilities ensure consistent quality output.

The combined rolling and extruding action through the inter-meshing of the planetary roller system ensures that just one revolution of the main spindle can roll out the plastic melt up to 1,100 times, ensuring optimal processing.

Compared to other extruder designs, this system increases the contact surface of the melt by up to five times, enhancing heat exchange efficiency and reducing formulation costs.

The self-cleaning feature ensures that no residual material remains in the machine when switching between formulations, minimizing waste and improving efficiency.

The first compounding extruder runs at a high speed for good mixing and high output capacity. The second extruder must be a larger diameter single screw one that can run at lower screw speed. The lower screw can avoid over-heating by internal cooling system and strong heat exchange ability. The functional separation allows operator to more flexibly control the expectable material mixing process and temperature.
