West's largest aromatic extraction plant built and put into production

On June 23, the 400,000-ton/year aromatics extraction plant of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company produced qualified benzene, toluene and xylene, indicating that the largest aromatic extraction plant in the western part of China has been successfully launched and put into production.

The aromatics extraction plant started construction in August 2006, and the overall production process is at an advanced level in China. In particular, the technology of solvent regeneration system and quality inspection system is leading, which ensures the energy consumption and operating cost of the equipment, and the product quality is stable and excellent. In addition, during the construction of the device, a cofferdam and a rainwater conditioning pond were additionally added to make full use of rainwater resources. After the device is put into production, the hydrogenated gasoline produced as a by-product of the newly-built ethylene plant of Lanzhou Petrochemical can be converted into benzene, toluene and xylene, and the company's product structure can be optimized to create new profit growth points.
