I captured these photos during a fire in Chicago last weekend. The incident took place at a vacant home located in the 19th Battalion area. There was significant fire activity in the basement, first floor, and attic. Initially, firefighters were working from the outside, focusing on containment. As the situation stabilized, crews moved inside to complete the mop-up and ensure the fire was fully under control.

These images give a real sense of the intensity of the fire and the efforts made by the firefighters to bring it under control. It’s always sobering to see how quickly a structure can be affected, especially in an abandoned building where conditions can be unpredictable.
