The Lincolnshire Riverwoods Fire Protection District (LRWFPD) has recently welcomed several new pieces of equipment into service, marking an important step in modernizing their fleet. Here's a look at the latest updates:
- The newly acquired Pierce Arrow XT quint is now fully operational and stationed at Station 53. This versatile apparatus is designed for both fire suppression and technical rescue operations.
- Station 51 has also received a brand-new Ford F450 equipped with a Knapheide body, designated as Utility 51. This vehicle will support a variety of tasks, from maintenance to emergency response logistics.
- A new Ford E450 bus, supplied by Illinois Bus Sales, is set to serve dual purposes: acting as a dive team support unit and as a rehabilitation unit during large-scale incidents. This addition enhances the district’s ability to respond effectively to diverse emergencies.
- Squad 51 has undergone a fresh paint job, featuring bold black stripes that give the vehicle a more dynamic and professional appearance. The updated graphics reflect the department’s commitment to visibility and readiness.
