According to reports, the "Tongtu" was built by the Wenzhou Shipping Company for the China Communications Tianjin Waterway Bureau Co., Ltd., which has a capacity of about 20,000 cubic meters and belongs to a super-large dredger. Dredging equipment such as onboard blowers, pylon systems, deck crane pedestals, mud door systems, sucker systems, overflow devices, and pumping systems are all manufactured by the company.
In recent years, during the construction of dredgers, the company has deeply felt the adverse impact of the dredging equipment imports on the ship construction cycle and production planning. Due to the delay in the import of equipment, the company had to hoist the equipment in the cabin after the dredger was unloaded. The production difficulty was increased, which seriously affected the construction period. The company draws lessons and cooperates with design institutes such as the China Ship and Ocean Engineering Design and Research Institute to develop and manufacture dredging equipment with independent intellectual property rights.
During the development of dredging equipment, the company took the lead in collecting the performance requirements put forward by the shipowners and the manufacturing needs of the shipbuilding enterprises. The design unit began to design from the basic theory and data calculation in order to grasp the independent intellectual property rights. At the same time, the shipbuilding company and the design unit also pay attention to innovation, aiming at the characteristics of high wear rate and high loss of dredging equipment, starting from the material selection link and improving the durability of the equipment. According to reports, the selection of some major dredging equipment from alloy steel plate, wear-resistant steel plate to the later composite steel plate, the constant improvement of the shipbuilding company, so that the frequency of equipment replacement is reduced, and the ship owner's praise. In addition, because some parts of the dredging equipment have high requirements for casting and forging, and need to be processed by the foreign commissioner, the company has strictly controlled the quality and processing cycle of the external committee to meet the requirements of the ship for high quality equipment.
The independent development of dredging equipment not only greatly reduces the import cost, but also improves the market competitiveness of the dredger. The company is currently working hard to open up a foreign dredger market. To this end, it plans to develop more dredging equipment with independent intellectual property rights to break through the market monopoly and technical blockade of foreign manufacturing companies. At present, the mud pump developed by it, known as the “dred boat heart”, has completed the basic design and is undergoing a drawing review, which is expected to be applied on dredgers started in the second half of this year. The company also plans to take the lead in the development of equipment such as cutter heads and cutter beams, and further serialize the equipment that has been completed and developed to meet the development needs of the dredger market.
