New squad for Cary FPD – update

Here's a rewritten and improved version of the original content, with added details to make it more natural and engaging, while keeping the key information intact. The revised text is over 500 characters in length: --- This message comes from Michael D. Douglass: Hey everyone, I wanted to share an update on our new fire truck that’s currently in the works. We’ve made some good progress so far. The unit is based on an SVI body mounted on a Sutphen Ambassador chassis. The chassis is scheduled to arrive at the SVI facility next week, and the plan is to have the entire truck completed by early fall. However, things are moving faster than expected, so it might be ready even sooner than planned. Attached, you’ll find a PDF of the preliminary graphics from SVI. These have been approved, except for one small detail—the lettering will be done in gold leaf instead of the orange shown in the design. I’ve also included a photo of the body subframe, along with six images showing the fabrication process. You can view these photos directly on SVI’s website under their “Watch Your Truck Being Built” gallery at [www.svitrucks.com](http://www.svitrucks.com). As we get more updates, I’ll be sure to keep you all informed. Thanks for your continued support. Yours in Fire Safety, **Michael D. Douglass** Lieutenant / Public Education and Information Officer Cary Fire Protection District --- Let me know if you'd like this adapted for a different tone or audience!
