New squad for Cary FPD – update

Douglass: Hey everyone, I wanted to share some exciting updates on our new fire truck. The squad we've ordered is an SVI body mounted on a Sutphen Ambassador chassis. The chassis is expected to arrive at the SVI plant next week, and the team is already making good progress. Originally, we were hoping to have it completed by early fall, but things are going so smoothly that it might be ready even sooner than planned. I’ve attached a PDF showing the preliminary graphics from SVI. They’ve been approved, except for one small change — the lettering will now be done in gold leaf instead of the orange seen in the design. I’ve also included a photo of the body subframe and six images of the fabrication process.
