Working fire in Niles, 7-8-14

This report comes from Steve Redick:

On Tuesday evening, thick smoke was seen rising from an empty warehouse in Niles, IL, as fire crews arrived on the scene. Due to the building’s location within an industrial park at 7847 Caldwell Avenue, all firefighting operations were conducted from the outside. An in-line pumping system was established to manage the fire effectively. A second engine was dispatched to support the operation, and the fire was brought under control within just 30 minutes.
