Working fire in Niles, 7-8-14

On Tuesday evening, thick smoke was visible coming from a vacant warehouse in Niles, IL, as fire crews arrived on the scene. Due to the building's location within an industrial park at 7847 Caldwell Avenue, all firefighting operations were conducted from the exterior. An in-line pumping operation was set up to manage the water supply effectively. A second engine was dispatched to support the working fire, and the blaze was brought under control within just 30 minutes.
