Spiral Chute Introduction
The spiral chute is a modern gravity separation device that utilizes the combined effects of water and gravitational friction to separate minerals based on their different specific gravities, resulting in heavy, middling, and light products. The spiral concentrator is constructed using fiberglass lined with wear-resistant polyurethane and corundum cover, offering features such as corrosion resistance, rust protection, and high durability. It is ideal for mining and ore beneficiation, especially for placer mining in coastal, riverbank, sand bank, and stream environments. This equipment is known for low water consumption, compact design, high concentration and recovery rates, and strong adaptability.
Application of Spiral Concentrator
This machine is suitable for processing metal and non-metal ores with significant density differences, such as iron, chromite, pyrite, tin, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, gold, coal, monazite, rutile, and zirconium. It can easily adapt to varying raw material sizes, densities, ore grades, and feed volumes. The spiral chute is particularly effective for processing 0.6–0.03mm ore and placer deposits, although high mud content may negatively affect the separation process. Currently, it is widely used in the treatment of iron ore, tungsten, tin, niobium-tantalum ores, coastal and riverbank placer, and gold ore.
Working Principle of Spiral Chute
1. Install the spiral chute, adjust the vertical line, and fix it in place using wooden supports.
2. Deliver the ore slurry to the two feeding openings at the top of the spiral chute using a sand pump, and add supplementary water to adjust the slurry consistency.
3. The slurry then flows down automatically and rotates from the top. Under the influence of rotational force and centrifugal force, the ore and sand are separated based on differences in specific gravity, grain size, and shape.
4. Finally, the concentrated ore flows into the final ore hopper and is conveyed out through pipes, while the sand moves to the final sand hopper and is transported to the sand pond via pipes. Afterward, the sand pump is removed, completing the entire concentration process.
