High-speed reciprocating compressors have high thermal efficiency, low unit power consumption, and low cost, and are suitable for the recovery and use of low-pressure natural gas at sea, which plays an important role in increasing gas production and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In recent years, with the continuous development of offshore gas fields, CNOOC has continuously increased the proportion of localized equipment used in the assembly of reciprocating compressors as skids, but the core components of compressor heads have always depended on foreign manufacturers, and domestic manufacturers’ technology has not been improved. And breakthroughs, maritime operations are often subject to maintenance.

In order to achieve zero breakthrough in the domestic compressor head at sea, Zhanjiang Branch and CNOOC Special Equipment Co., Ltd. have conducted domestic equipment research and design optimization for many times, fully demonstrated and boldly tried, and finally locked Shenyang Compressor Co., Ltd. as a compressor. During the commissioning of the platform, faced with no oil flow switch failure alarm led to unit shutdown, the manufacturer can not solve the difficult problem after many attempts, the joint team based on the past experience of foreign equipment, and the horizontal comparison of domestic equipment and online search Related papers and data finally found the design flaws of the domestic oil-free flow switch in flow monitoring. Subsequently, the joint team and the manufacturer repeatedly debugged and measured, and finally determined the upgrade and reconstruction program to make the compressor run at its best.
