New plant at Schaeffler Taicang manufacturing site put into operation

The opening of the fifth plant of Schaeffler Taicang Manufacturing Base, the largest family-owned technology company in Germany and Europe, took place on April 11, 2014, signifying a significant increase in Schaeffler's product line and production capacity of automotive transmission systems in Greater China.

Schaeffler Taicang Manufacturing Plant No. 5 started construction in April 2013 and completed and trial-produced in January 2014. As a continuation and addition to the third plant of Schaeffler Taicang Manufacturing Base, No. 5 plant will mainly produce wet double clutches and torque converters , both of which are key components in the automatic transmission of automobiles and are the first ones. Which can make the inner pressure of the extruder decrease, the melt shear strength decrease, the temperature curve gently, and restrain the temperature rising. Also the melt pump can avoid the damage to the extruder from the high pressure.
