On the afternoon of July 2nd, the Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded to a fire reported at the rear of a home located at 214 Navajo Trail. Police had already arrived on scene and confirmed the presence of a fire before the fire department reached the location. Upon arrival, the first units observed smoke coming from the back of the ranch-style house and immediately deployed a hose line. They discovered a fire burning beneath the patio door along the rear wall of the structure. A single line was used to quickly knock down the flames, while a second company entered the home to ensure there was no further spread.
