Troy FPD is added to Division 15

A new fire department has just been added to the site, thanks to the hard work of Karl Klotz. While we're still waiting for images of the stations, the Troy Fire Protection District is now online, showcasing their fleet from both stations. Recently, Troy opened a brand-new headquarters station and started ordering apparatus in a fresh color scheme. Up until their 2008 IHC/Medtec ambulance and 2008 Kenworth/Pierce Contender tanker, all their vehicles were lime green. Now, they’ve introduced a striking new look with four units painted black over a deep red base. Among their latest additions are two new Pierce Arrow XT engines, a Ford/Medtec ambulance, and a brush unit mounted on a four-door Ford pickup. As you can see in the photos, the Kenworth/Pierce Contender tanker (above left) is one of their older models, while the IHC/Medtec ambulance (above center) reflects their earlier livery. The newer Pierce Arrow XT engine (above right) showcases their updated aesthetic. Interestingly, Troy currently operates two engines with the number 2221. It seems they haven't decided yet how to renumber the older engine once the new one is fully integrated into their fleet. This addition highlights the ongoing efforts to document firefighting resources across the region, and we hope to have more visual content soon. In the meantime, the Troy Fire Protection District continues to evolve with modernized equipment and a sleeker appearance.
