Excerpts from Fox6now.com: Firefighters and police officers were called to a house fire near South and Elm Streets in Lake Geneva on Tuesday, January 19th, shortly after 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, four people who were downstairs managed to escape safely. Two adults and a baby were trapped upstairs. They crawled onto the roof and managed to toss the baby to a nearby officer. A neighbor quickly found a ladder to help the adults down, but it collapsed, causing a woman to fall. Despite the danger, the situation was under control, and no further injuries were reported.
