The Broadview Fire Department held a live fire training session on Thursday at the intersection of Filmore and 17th Street. For several hours, firefighters practiced tackling room fires inside a vacant home, allowing the structure to become fully involved as part of the exercise. Tim Olk was present and captured a series of compelling images showcasing the firefighters, their equipment, and the intense flames. The training also included participation from other MABAS Division 20 departments, making it a collaborative effort to enhance emergency response skills.
Tim has compiled a large gallery of photos from the event, which can be viewed here. The training provided valuable hands-on experience for the crews, reinforcing critical skills in a realistic environment. It’s always impressive to see how well-prepared and professional these firefighters are, even under challenging conditions.
