Recently, the Wuhan Branch of the China Classification Society conducted an on-site inspection of the YB2 marine three-phase asynchronous motors submitted for evaluation by Nanyang Explosion Protection Company. Following a two-day thorough examination, the test results confirmed that the performance of the batch of marine motors met or exceeded the requirements set by marine-specific standards. Additionally, the appearance of the motors complied with international quality expectations, and the entire process went smoothly, resulting in successful approval.
The batch included 46 units across five different specifications, marking the company's first major inspection of large-volume marine motors. Due to the unique and stringent requirements of marine equipment, there were numerous external testing procedures, a tight delivery schedule, and complex quality control challenges. Two of the motor models required certification from the National Explosion-Proof Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center to obtain the necessary explosion-proof certificates for ship use. To ensure compliance and timely delivery, all relevant personnel strictly followed the required procedures and maintained high standards throughout the process.
During the expert field inspection, close collaboration between the technical center, manufacturing department, sales company, and small workshop ensured the successful completion of the tests. As a result, the company’s first batch of marine motors passed the inspection conducted by the Wuhan Branch of the China Classification Society and was granted the marine motor quality certificate, marking a significant milestone for the company in the maritime industry.
